Advocates for Insulin Price Cap Speak Before Lawmakers

(Bismarck, ND) — Some North Dakotans are showing their support for insulin price caps. Advocates for the House bill that would cap insulin prices at 25 dollars a month spoke yesterday at a hearing before the House Government and Veterans Affairs Committee. Sixteen-year-old Nika Kritzberger of Hillsboro has Type 1 diabetes and told lawmakers if this bill doesn’t pass, she might not be here in the future. Insurance company representatives spoke out against the bill arguing the cap would end up shifting the cost to insurers and employers.
