African Penguin Chick On Display At Dakota Zoo

(Bismarck, ND) — Bismarck’s Dakota Zoo is ready to show off its new African Penguin. The endangered female penguin chick hatched on November 14th, but wasn’t ready to meet the public till now. The Dakota Zoo is also asking for your help in naming her. The three name options are Ruby, Penny, and Pippy, and it costs five dollars to vote. The money will go to the Dakota Zoo Conservation Fund, which helps fund African Penguin conservation. The Dakota Zoo is open from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday through Sunday during the winter, and public penguin feedings are at 4:30 p.m.
