Alberta Clipper To Create Blizzard Conditions

(Grand Forks, ND) — A weather alert is being issued for the entire state of North Dakota as a fast-moving Alberta Clipper comes rolling in from the north. The National Weather Service in Grand Forks says a major snowstorm is expected to dump at least four inches of snow across central North Dakota starting today and through Thursday, with other parts of the state getting up to eight inches of snow. Strong winds are also forecast, with gusts reaching 55 miles per hour. Forecasters warn the blowing snow could cause hazardous driving conditions.
