Alexander School District Holding Vote For Expansion

(Alexander, ND) — The Alexander School District will hold a vote this month for a potential bond expanding its school building. The school’s enrollment has increased by 33-percent in the past five years, pushing the current building to capacity. The district recently expanded the lunchtime over 3 hours to serve all 323 kids in the cafeteria. With a 10-million-dollar grant from McKenzie County, the district wants a bond for an additional 9-million-dollars to add 10 new classrooms and expand several areas, including the cafeteria and kitchen.
