Ammonia Leak In Grand Forks

(Grand Forks, ND) — An ammonia leak prompted an evacuation at a Simplot facility in Grand Forks Friday night. First responders were called to the scene along Gateway Drive, and detected high ammonia levels outside the building and in a nearby neighborhood. All employees made it safely out of the building, and locals were asked to stay inside their homes. Crews were able to stop the leak, and employees were later allowed back inside. Nobody was injured.
