(Bismarck, ND) — A limited number of tags will be available for antelope hunters this season. The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is issuing only 420 hunting licenses for pronghorn antelopes this year, with a ban on hunting does. The department says a harsh winter led to a decreased antelope population, and a smaller number of tags are available as a result. August 9th is the deadline to apply for a license, and antelope gun hunting season begins on October 6th.
