Arid Climate Contributing To North Dakota’s Lack Of Trees

(Minot, ND) — When it comes to tree coverage, North Dakota is on the low end of the spectrum. According to a new survey, trees only cover about three-percent of the state. That is the lowest percentage in the country. Officials with Minot Parks say being in the Great Plains, it makes sense, adding that the climate is considered arid with very limited moisture.
