(Cavalier, ND) — The U.S. Army is awarding over 19-million dollars to the Cavalier Space Force Station. Senator John Hoeven is a member of the Senate Defense Appropriations Committee, and says the money will be used to construct a fuel storage farm that will provide emergency power for Cavalier’s Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System, known as PARCS. The Space Force website says the mission of PARCS is to watch for missiles launched toward North America, collect missile warning data, and provide data concerning space launches.
