At Least a Dozen Cars Involved in Grand Forks Chain-Reaction Crashes

(Grand Forks, ND) — Grand Forks police say as many as a dozen vehicles were involved in chain-reaction crashes on the Columbia Road overpass yesterday morning. A police spokesman is framing it as three separate crashes that occurred very quickly. The second and third crashes happened as drivers tried to avoid the first. Police say there were some icy conditions on the overpass at the time of the pileup. So far, there’s no word of any injuries, but police cited the driver who caused the first collision.
