Basin Electric Reveals Plans For New Power Plant

(Bismarck, ND) — Basin Electric has revealed a plan to build a new natural gas-fired power plant in North Dakota. CEO Todd Brickhouse announced the plan while speaking at the Williston Basin Petroleum Conference in Bismarck on Wednesday. Brickhouse said it would be a 14-hundred megawatt power-generating facility, which would make it the utility cooperative’s largest power plant. Basin Electric hasn’t specified where the plant will built, saying it will depend on pipeline negotiations.
