Bismarck Lawmaker Pleads Not Guilty To Misdemeanor Charge

(Bismarck, ND) — A Bismarck state lawmaker has pleaded not guilty to a charge of profiting from his role in the legislature. Prosecutors say Republican Jason Dockter is part-owner of an office building being leased by the Attorney General’s office under a ten-year contract. The State Auditor’s office has been investigating the deal as it looks into cost overruns in the AG’s office.
