(Bismarck, ND) — A Bismarck man who was shot during a violent confrontation in mid-December has died in a Minnesota hospital. Officials say 21-year-old Keanu Bird stabbed a man in Bismarck on December 15th, and died over the weekend. The altercation happened at an apartment along East Avenue F in Bismarck, and police found Bird suffering from a gunshot wound and a 23-year-old man who had been stabbed when they arrived. Witnesses told police Bird stabbed the other man first, who ended up shooting him in self-defense. Officials say the stabbing victim is expected to fully recover from his injuries.
