Bismarck Police Body Camera Program Starts Today

(Bismarck, ND) — Officers with the Bismarck Police Department will start using newly implemented body cameras today. The Bismarck City Commission approved the department’s request for body cameras back in February, and the department has worked to obtain the necessary equipment throughout the year. The system will include 136 body-worn cameras, along with the installation of cameras in 43 police vehicles. New cameras will be added to the department’s interview and booking rooms as well.
