Bismarck Police Officer Involved In Crash

(Bismarck, ND) — One person was injured and a Bismarck police officer could be facing charges following a Saturday night car crash. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, 25-year-old officer Jakob Olheiser ran a red light while responding to a call at around 10:00 p.m. Officials say the officer went through the intersection of 9th Street and Bismarck Expressway without his emergency lights on and collided with another car. The woman in the other car suffered minor injuries while the officer wasn’t injured. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, and charges against the officer are possible.
