(Bismarck, ND) — Three Bismarck Police officers will not be charged for an officer-involved shooting that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old in November. The State’s Attorney’s Office and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation both determined the officers’ use of deadly force was justified. Investigators say Nicholas Bruington had shot at two children earlier that day, and when they tried to stop the car he was riding in, he pulled out a handgun.
