Bismarck Woman Allegedly Lies on Job Application, Steals From Church

(Bismack, ND) — A Bismarck woman is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a church after she lied on a job application to cover up a previous fraud conviction. Court documents show that Chelsa Kinsella was arrested December 21st on several charges, including theft, forgery and unauthorized use of personal identifying formation. Kinsella was hired under false pretenses to work as a financial administrator at Trinity Lutheran Church in September. When Kinsella was fired in December, another church employee allegedly discovered about 38-thousand dollars was unaccounted for. She has a court date scheduled for January 27th, when she’s expected to enter a plea.
