BNSF Bridge Construction Begins

(Bismarck, ND) — Construction of the new BNSF railroad bridge between Mandan and Bismarck has officially begun. So far, crews have removed vegetation from the area and are installing piers for the substructure of the bridge. The bridge is being built to replace the current one that spans the Missouri River, and the 100-million dollar project is expected to be completed by 2026. Once the new bridge is built, the old one will be torn down, with the demolition process expected to take one year.
