(Emmons County, ND) — Authorities have identified the body found at Lake Oahe in Emmons County last weekend. The body was discovered by a fisherman, and investigators say the remains belong to 41-year-old Matthew Mittelsteadt. He went missing from Bismarck last November, and his vehicle was found abandoned near West Main Avenue and Fraine Barracks Road. This area is near the Missouri River, which flows into Lake Oahe. Police say foul play isn’t suspected, and that surveillance video shows Mittelsteadt walking toward a bridge in the area and never returning.
