Bond Increased for Bismarck Man Charged With Luring Minors

(Bismarck, ND) — A Bismarck man charged in a vapes for sex case is having his bond amount more than doubled. Monday, South Central District Judge James Hill increased Michael Leier’s bond to 25-thousand dollars, after Leier allegedly violated a bond condition. His bond was originally set at ten-thousand dollars, but prosecutors say Leier was giving minors permission slips that he wanted their parents to sign so they could hang out with him. Earlier this month, Leier pleaded not guilty to sex crimes after prosecutors say he gave a teenage girl nicotine and THC vapes in exchange for sexual acts.
