Bond Set At $500K For Senator’s Son Linked To Wednesday’s Death Of North Dakota Deputy

(Stanton, ND) — Bond is set at a half-million dollars for the son of a U.S. Senator linked to the death of a North Dakota deputy. Officials say the 42-year-old son of North Dakota Republican Kevin Cramer remains in custody for his alleged role in the death of Sheriff’s Deputy Paul Martin. Martin was on duty when Ian Cramer allegedly stole a vehicle in Bismarck before leading deputies on a high-speed chase through Mercer County. A short time later, officials say, Cramer crashed his SUV into a parked patrol car, killing Deputy Martin, who was standing nearby. Martin was declared dead at the scene.
