(Bismarck, ND) — Governor Doug Burgum has named Wayne Salter as North Dakota’s new Health and Human Services commissioner. Wayne Salter served as Texas’ deputy executive commissioner of access and eligibility services for almost six years. He left that position last June, and is replacing former Health and Human Services commissioner Chris Jones, who left last September. Salter says he’s “profoundly honored and grateful to Governor Burgum” for appointing him.
