Burgum Signs Back The Blue Legislation

(Bismarck, ND) — Governor Burgum is signing three bills intended to support North Dakota police officers. One “Back the Blue” bill will provide grants to help departments hire more officers and increase wages. Attorney General Drew Wrigley would oversee the distribution of the grants. A second bill provides an income tax break for retired officers and a third will give agents at the Bureau of Criminal Investigations a raise.
