(Bismarck, ND) — Governor Doug Burgum is working to make transitions for military children in North Dakota easier. Burgum signed a bill yesterday that would excuse daycares approved by the Department of Defense from separate state licensing requirements. He also signed a bill declaring April as Month of the Military Child and a separate measure to allow K through 12 students in military families to begin or complete a semester virtually. Busloads of kids from Minot Air Force Based traveled to Bismarck for the signing ceremony.
