(Bismarck, ND) — Governor Doug Burgum is planning a visit to the US-Mexico border. He’ll be there to meet up with 125 North Dakota National Guardsmen with the Jamestown-based 817th Engineer Company. The Guardsmen have been there since they were deployed in November in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and are expected to serve there for a year. An exact date for the trip hasn’t been announced.
