Burgum Working To Raise Profile Nationally

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum is working to boost his name recognition in an attempt to qualify for the first presidential debate in August. The governor announced his candidacy over the weekend and held campaign stops in Iowa and New Hampshire. He also spent nearly two-and-a-half-million-dollars on campaign ads in the two early primary states. Burgum needs to register at least one percent in three nationwide polls and secure 40-thousand individual voters across 20 states to qualify for the debate.
