(Bismarck, ND) — A Burleigh County employee is being investigated for a possible violation of the Hatch Act. The State Attorney’s Office claims Burleigh County Auditor and Treasurer Mark Splonskowski sent a group text message during working hours advising how to vote in the county commissioner’s race. The text sent to 66 people reportedly said to not vote for Brian Bitner. Splonskowski reportedly invited recipients of the text to contact him for more details.
