(Bismarck, ND) — Burleigh County is in search of a new elections coordinator. The Bismarck Tribune says it obtained a letter of resignation submitted last Tuesday by Burleigh County Elections Coordinator Lisa Hart, who cited health reasons. The newspaper reports parts of the letter were redacted because of federal health information protection laws. In her letter, Hart says “the stress of the job” will continue to affect “my health if I continue my employment here.” Her letter did not go into details of the cause of her stress. County officials say they’ve received “many applications,” but it isn’t known if a new coordinator will be hired before the November 5th Election Day.
