Car Chase Ends In Crash, Arrest

(Mandan, ND) — A Bismarck man was arrested after he led police on a chase in a stolen car. It began last Wednesday morning, when 36-year-old Jeffrey Brynds allegedly stole a car from a dealership in Mandan, and began fleeing from police when officers later spotted the stolen vehicle. He backed into an unmarked police car during the pursuit, and eventually crashed in a vacant lot along 15th Street Northeast. He was arrested, and officers found what appeared to be meth in his pocket. Brynds is charged with multiple crimes including theft, for which he could up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
