(McClean County, ND) — A man accused of leading law enforcement on a car chase that injured a McClean County deputy has pleaded not guilty. It happened on April 1st on U.S. Highway 83, and a deputy used a new grappler system to stop suspect Colton Lauer as he fled from pursuing officers. The grappler snagged Lauer’s car and brought the chase to an end, but caused the deputy’s car to flip over, and he was treated for minor injuries. Lauer faces four felony charges and his trial is set for July 24th.
