Car Sales Scam Making The Rounds

(Fargo, ND) — Fargo Police are warning of a scam targeting dealers and private residents selling cars. According to police, scammers make fake keys matching the make and model of vehicles listed for sale. After returning from a test drive, the thieves give back the fake sets of keys and take off with the real set and the vehicle. With private online car sales increasing in popularity, sellers are more susceptible to the scam.
