Cara Mund Running For North Dakota’s Congressional Seat

(Bismarck, ND) — A former Miss America and one-time intern for Senator John Hoeven is once again running for North Dakota’s lone congressional seat, but this time Cara Mund is running as a Republican. You may remember Mund ran as an Independent candidate who ran against Congressman Kelly Armstrong two years ago, when she got nearly 38-percent of the vote in the general election. Mund is an attorney who faces plenty of competition in the primary. She’s running against Public Service Commissioner Julie Fedorchak, former state Representative Rick Becker, and Military veteran Alex Balazs. The Republican winner will face either Trygve Hammer or Roland Riemers in June.
