(Cass County, ND) — Cass County Electric Cooperative officials say they hope to have all power to customers restored by the end of this week. A number of people in their service area are still without electricity following a major ice storm that hit the region on Christmas. Paul Matthys, the Vice President of Member and Energy Services for Cass County Electric called the damage from the ice storm “unprecedented”, but says crews are doing everything they can to get everyone’s power back on as soon as possible. He says repair costs will likely climb well into the millions. You can track power outages in the area at outage-dot-kwh-dot-com.
