(Grand Forks, ND) — A six-year-old child who was injured in a car crash in Grand Forks earlier this week has died. Authorities say it happened when 43-year-old Travis Bell crashed his pickup truck into the back of a car stopped at a red light, severely injuring the driver and the six-year-old. Police say Bell had been drinking before the crash, and he reportedly failed a breathalyzer test. He’s charged with felony criminal vehicular injury, and officials say that charge will likely be upgraded.
