Clouds May Spoil Eclipse Viewing In North Dakota

(Bismarck, ND) — People looking forward to today’s much-anticipated eclipse may be disappointed by the weather forecast. While North Dakota is in the path of partial obscuration, meteorologists say cloud cover, rain, and snow today might ruin any good viewing opportunities. The National Weather Service says North Dakotans won’t see much more than “a slight dimming as the sun is obscured to a peak of 50 to 60-percent during the early afternoon”. Even with the cloud cover, officials say you should still wear special eye protection to view the eclipse.
