County Extends Offer On Historic Fargo Building

(Fargo, ND) — Cass County extended an offer to buy a historic building in Fargo to expand its campus. County commissioners voted unanimously to offer the Park District 750-thousand-dollars for the Robert D. Johnson rec center, which sits adjacent to the Cass county office buildings downtown. Officials say the county’s size necessitates the expansion. Historians are hoping the deal will go through to preserve the former school, which has stood since 1930.
