Cyclists Hit By Vehicle During Fundraising Ride

(Sanborn, ND) — Two bicyclists on a cross-country cancer fundraising trip have been struck by an SUV in rural Barnes County. Authorities say the pair were struck while cycling on Barnes County Road 22 on Tuesday. The two cyclists were part of a group of fifteen participating in the trip, and were struck from behind by 88-year-old Peter Schuck, who reportedly left the scene after the wreck. He’s been arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an injury. The two bicyclists were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
