Domestic Violence Awareness Walk Set For Tuesday

(Bismarck, ND) — A Bismarck non-profit is scheduling a walk to draw attention to domestic violence in Native American communities.

Native, Inc. is hosting the Domestic Violence Awareness Walk Tuesday afternoon in Bismarck. The organization cites a report from the Administration for Native Americans that says more than 80-percent of Native American men and women have been the victim of violence during their lifetime. The walk is open to the public and everyone is asked to wear purple in support of survivors of domestic violence.

Tuesday’s walk begins at 2403 East Thayer Avenue and is scheduled to go from 4-to-6 p.m.
