(Grand Forks, ND) — More information regarding last week’s accident involving a train in Grand Forks is being released. North Dakota Highway Patrol is charging 60-year-old David Contreras with failure to stop for a railroad crossing. Last Thursday morning, Contreras hit the front end of the lead engine of an Amtrak Empire Builder train. Contreras suffered minor injuries and his passenger was not hurt.
