(Minot, ND) — North Dakota Highway Patrol says a suspect is on the loose in the Minot area after fleeing on foot following a crash during a chase. A Highway Patrol report says a trooper tried to stop the driver for a seat belt violation Thursday afternoon. The pickup eventually crashed into a tree at the southwest border of Minot, in the area of the 6th Street and 54th Avenue Southwest intersection. Highway Patrol says a 30-year-old female passenger in the pickup was unhurt and remained on the scene. Authorities have not publicly identified the passenger or the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
