(Dickinson, ND) — Dickinson State University has announced an 88-million-dollar campus modernization project. The project involves building an Education Innovation and Academic Excellence Center to support the School of Education faculty’s goals, and to address the teacher shortage in western North Dakota. The project would also involve tearing down some older buildings on campus, upgrades to heating and tunnels, and updates to accommodate smaller classrooms and offices in existing buildings. The State Board of Higher Education will hold another meeting on the project on May 30th.
