(Dunseith, ND) — A Dunseith public schoolteacher is going to prison for her conviction on child abuse charges. A grand jury indicted 42-year-old Rhawnie Marcellais of Belcourt on six counts last year. Marcellais was accused of throwing a glass bottle at a child in early 2021, as well as threatening a witness, assaulting them, and damaging their SUV. Yesterday, she was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison and then three years of supervised release.
