Fargo Civil Rights Activist Charged With Felony Theft

(Fargo, ND) — A Fargo civil rights activist and her husband are facing felony theft charges. Faith Shields-Dixon and Charles Dixon are accused of defrauding the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction. The couple allegedly stole between ten-thousand and 50-thousand dollars in misappropriated public funds between February 2022 and April 2023. If convicted on all counts, Shields-Dixon could be sentenced to 45 years in prison, while her husband could serve 20 years.
