Fargo, Grand Forks Police Respond To False Reports Of Mass Casualties

(Fargo, ND) — Police in Fargo and Grand Forks responded to false reports of mass casualty events Thursday. Fargo police responded to the Fleet Farm store on 36th Street South at around 5:00 p.m., after a caller reported that 80 people were injured in the store after a bomb exploded. Police arrived, and found no injuries and nothing unusual happening at the store. Around the same time, Grand Forks police responded to calls reporting a similar scenario at a Walmart. Since the caller didn’t specify which Walmart store, officers responded to two stores in town, but found nothing amiss at either of them. Authorities are working to determine who made the calls.
