FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA – On Friday, October 18, homicide suspect Leo Dartoe was located and arrested in Atlanta, Georgia, by the United States Marshals Task Force and the Atlanta Police Department. Dartoe remains in custody in Atlanta, awaiting extradition to North Dakota.
The Fargo Police Department identified Dartoe (34-year-old Fargo resident) as a suspect in the homicide of Sampson Bleh (35-year-old Fargo resident) that occurred on August 23 in the 2200 block of 12th Avenue South in Fargo. A warrant was issued for Dartoe’s arrest in connection with the homicide.
“The Fargo Police Department would like to acknowledge the United States Marshals Task Force and the Atlanta Police Department for their assistance in locating and arresting homicide suspect Leo Dartoe. We would also like to express our appreciation to the community for their assistance and support as this ongoing investigation continues,” stated Capt. William Ahlfeldt of the Criminal Investigations Division.
