(Fargo, ND) — A Fargo insurance agent is being fined 136-thousand dollars for providing gifts to clients. An investigation by the North Dakota Insurance Department found that
Tyler Bjerke gifted 182 pub-style tables to clients and potential clients. The agency calculated those tables had a retail value of over 200 dollars per table. Insurance agents are prohibited from providing gifts valued at over 100 dollars to clients or potential clients. In addition to the fine, Bjerke’s license to sell insurance in North Dakota has been placed on probation for four years.
