(Fargo, ND) — A Fargo man who’s accused of stealing a car faces a criminal charge. The investigation began earlier this week when police were called to check out a vehicle that had been left in a parking lot for two days, and determined it had been reported stolen the previous month. Police say a search of the car revealed items belonging to Trevor Nelson, who isn’t the owner of the car. Nelson reportedly claimed he borrowed the car from a friend because his truck had broken down, but denied stealing it. He’s charged with one count of theft, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 29th.
