(Moorhead, MN) — A Fargo man is in custody across the border in Minnesota after he led local deputies on a vehicle chase yesterday afternoon in Clay County. Clay County law-enforcement sources say it all started when a Glyndon police officer tried to pull over the suspect – ID’d as 36-year-old Shaun Montanari – for reckless driving along Highway 10. The suspect reportedly then put pedal to metal and fled eastbound onto I-94 westbound, where he accelerated to triple-digit speeds. Montanari was eventually brought to heel after Minnesota State Troopers deployed stop sticks near mile marker 10 and took him into custody. Troopers later determined the vehicle had been stolen. Charges are pending.
