(Washington, DC) — Fargo Police Officer Zach Robinson received the TOP COPS Award during a ceremony in Washington D.C. on Sunday. He received the award for stopping a would-be mass shooting in Fargo that happened last July. The shooting claimed the life of fellow officer Jake Wallin, and wounded two officers and a civilian. The TOP COPS award is given to law enforcement officers who go above and beyond the call of duty, and Officer Zach Robinson is now the first person from North Dakota to ever receive the award.
