Fargo Shooter Had Stockpile Of Weapons And Ammunition

(Fargo, ND) — Officials say the man who fatally shot a Fargo police officer had a stockpile of weapons and ammunition. Officer Jake Wallin was shot and killed by Mohamad Barakat late last week in what was described as an unprovoked attack. Barakat was fatally shot by another officer and a search of his vehicle revealed almost two-thousand rounds of ammunition, several guns, and a grenade. The shooting is being investigated by the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the FBI, and investigators are trying to determine whether the attack was a planned ambush or not.
