Farmer Fined For Crop Insurance Fraud

(Washburn, ND) — A Washburn farmer has been ordered to pay nearly 380-thousand dollars for crop insurance fraud. Sixty-year-old Kent Pfaff was charged after he gave false information to the U.S. Department of Agriculture back in 2019 in an attempt to increase his payments. He pleaded guilty last December and was sentenced on Tuesday.
